Don Swindell Obituary, Death – On Saturday, December 26, 2015, Sergeant Major Donald Gerald Swindell departed from this life and is now one of the innumerable Marines manning the streets of Heaven. He passed gone. On August 10, 1939, in the Oklahoman hamlet of Colbert, John Taylor and Zelpha Coleman Swindell welcomed him into the world. On August 2, 1957, he married Juanita Elnora Fulce, the lady who would end up becoming the love of his life. They have spent 58 years together as a pair.
Sgt. Maj. Swindell volunteered to serve in the United States Marine Corps and joined on December 2, 1957. He remained on continuous active duty until January 1, 1988, which was his retirement date. Sgt. Maj. Swindell served in numerous occupational specialties all over the world when he was in active duty. During this time, Sgt. Maj. Swindell and Juanita welcomed three gorgeous children into their family. David, Cindy, and Terry are their names.
Throughout his tenure in the service, Sgt. Maj. Swindell received an astounding amount of decorations and honours. Both during peaceful times and during times of great strife, he received the honours and honours. He continued his study at Southeastern Oklahoma State University after leaving the Marine Corps, graduating from the business school with a degree in management. Following that, he started working for the state of Oklahoma as a veteran’s counsellor. His main pastime was playing golf, and his grandsons learned how to drive on golf courses.
